Choose a month to revisit
A monthly Memory is an AI-assisted reflection grounded in the entries you select. It brings together excerpts and themes from your own devotional reflections, prayer story, and God moments, with ways to return to the source material. It does not require you to turn every part of your month into a conclusion.
On iPhone, open Today and tap View all beside Your Journey. Open the Memories collection from Journey, then start a new Memory. Sign in first: creating and keeping monthly Memories is an account feature. The month picker shows completed months, so the current month is not available yet.
Review what the Memory will use
- Choose the month and the parts of your practice you want to revisit.
- Under Your source material, expand a section to review individual entries. Use the section switch or individual selections to leave things out.
- Decide whether to enable Include private prayer notes. They are not included by default.
- Review the AI disclosure and cost, then enable Use these selected entries to create my Memory and choose Create.
Devotional reflections are assigned to the month in which you completed the devotional. If an expected reflection is missing, check that completion date and the selected month. If the app shows no eligible entries, add or complete relevant entries first rather than trying to generate an empty Memory.
While your Memory is being prepared
You can choose Notify me when it’s ready; an iPhone notification also needs system permission. Return to the collection to check progress. If the same month is already processing or already has a Memory, open that item instead of starting another request.
Generate audio for every paragraph adds narration for the written story. Review its separate cost information before selecting it. Source excerpts are not narrated. If audio cannot finish, the written Memory can still be read.
The selected text is sent for AI processing. Photo files and exact locations are not sent to the AI for the Memory, and the finished Memory is encrypted for your account. Read AI and your data for more detail.
Read it at your own pace
Open a ready Memory and move through its pages. Read the excerpts alongside the AI-assisted reflection, and follow a source link when you want the original context. Generated devotional insights are identified as AI guidance rather than presented as words you wrote yourself.
The reader offers Hide this page and Show all story pages. Deleting a Memory removes its story, saved excerpts, and narration; your original entries stay in Glean. You can generate that month again at the applicable cost or with eligible Unlimited access. Hiding, deleting, and removing an original source are different actions, so read the confirmation before continuing.
