Save a prayer for yourself
On iPhone, open the Prayer tab and add a prayer, or choose prayer from Create. In the editor, select Just me to keep it personal. Add your prayer in your own words and, if helpful, an optional title so it is easier to find later.
Writing and keeping personal prayers is free and works without an account. If you are signed in, the editor can offer Encrypted sync to keep the prayer on your signed-in devices. Syncing a prayer to your own account does not share it with another person. Sharing is a separate, deliberate choice.
Choose when to return to it
Including a prayer in Today makes it part of the prayers you return to in the app. Use its schedule options to choose the days that fit your practice. A prayer can also have a period during which you intend to keep returning to it.
Appearing in Today does not by itself schedule a notification. If you want a reminder, open the prayer’s actions and choose Prayer reminder. Check your iPhone notification permission if a reminder does not appear. You can change or remove the reminder without deleting the prayer.
Today is a place to find what you chose to pray for. You can pause or return later; you do not need to clear every item before leaving the app.
Record what changes
Open a prayer to read it and record when you have prayed. Use Add to story to keep an update or private note alongside the original prayer. As circumstances change, the prayer’s actions let you mark it answered, mark it changed, release it, or reopen it.
You can archive a prayer when you want it out of the active collection without treating it as a new request. Read deletion choices carefully: the app distinguishes deleting a prayer while keeping its history from deleting the prayer and its history. Export or review your backup options before removing something you want to keep.
Use writing or listening help when it is useful
Help me write can suggest changes to wording you already have. Review a suggestion before saving it. The editor identifies these wording options as free; the separate Guided Prayer flow and audio generation have their own access and cost information.
You can also request a saved read-aloud recording of your prayer. Review the voice, data-sharing disclosure, and price shown before generating it.
